Brief: Make an Economist campaign for Gen Z.

Our solution: 

In general, Gen Z are financially fairly conservative in contrast to Millenials, with a strong saving ethic. However, they may not have been exposed to the intricacies of economics and current world events. 

 

Gen Z culture is internet-based and very driven by memes. This rapidly-changing environment has created a entire new lexicon of slang terms. And while it has developed over centuries, the world of economics has its own set of jargon that can at first seem impenetrable too.

 

Our campaign links these two sets of “in-languages” to encourage Gen Z to look beyond memes to understand the economy they live in.
